About Me
Hi, I’m Khadijah! I’ve always had a genuine love for children. Growing up, children have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve always loved being involved in the lives of the little ones in my family as they grow, especially helping my sister raise her children. I find so much joy in watching children develop their own little personalities, discover new things and grow in confidence.
Outside of spending time with children, I love art and painting, getting outdoors, exploring nature and finding fun little adventures to enjoy. I also grew up horse riding and spending time around horses and farm animals, which gave me a real love for animals and the outdoors.
I’m someone who values the little things in life, whether that’s getting creative, exploring somewhere new, spending quality time with family or making everyday moments special. I love the idea of creating a happy, loving and nurturing environment where children feel safe, comfortable and free to be themselves. I’d love to become a trusted part of a family’s life and build a genuine, long-lasting bond with both the children and their parents.
My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children across nursery, primary school and specialist SEMH settings. I have worked as a self-employed childminder, building trusting relationships with families and providing safe, engaging and supportive childcare. I have also worked as a Nursery Assistant, supporting children’s early development, planning activities and maintaining daily routines.
In my roles as a Teaching Assistant, I have supported children from Nursery through to Year 6, including children with SEN and social, emotional and mental health needs. My experience includes providing 1:1 and small-group support, managing challenging behaviour, supporting emotional regulation, encouraging positive social development and creating safe and structured environments.
I am patient, reliable, nurturing and adaptable, with strong communication skills and experience working closely with children, parents, teachers and other professionals. I particularly enjoy helping children build confidence, develop independence and feel safe and supported.
My Qualifications
* BA (Hons) Psychology – Arden University (Currently studying)
* Sir George Monoux Sixth Form College
* Westminster Kingsway College
* Experience and training in supporting children with SEN and SEMH needs
* Experience in behaviour management, emotional regulation and de-escalation
* Experience supporting phonics, maths and language development
My Availability
I am available throughout the week, with the exception of Mondays and Tuesdays when I attend university from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Outside of these hours, I am fully available and can be flexible to suit a family's needs. I am ideally looking for a long-term position with a lovely family.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
My rates are flexible and depend on the family's childcare needs, the number of children and the responsibilities involved. My starting rate is £17 per hour for one child, with rates increasing for additional children, as caring for more children requires extra time, attention and responsibility. I am happy to discuss a suitable arrangement for a long-term position with the right family. I believe in providing caring, reliable and attentive support while creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment for children.
