About Me
I’m a mum to my 5-year-old son, Cole. He has severe autism, is non-verbal and has significant additional needs. I’m looking for someone kind, patient and understanding who can support Cole and give me some much-needed help and respite. It’s important to me that his carer is reliable, caring and confident in supporting a child with complex needs.
My Requirements
My son has severe autism and is non-verbal. He requires constant 1:1 supervision and cannot be left alone due to his lack of danger awareness. He needs a patient, experienced carer who understands autism and can support him with communication, toileting, eating, dressing and personal care. He can become distressed and have meltdowns, so he needs someone calm and able to keep him safe. He also needs close supervision when outside as he may run off or put himself in danger.
