About Me
As an Early Years Teacher, my number one priority is always safeguarding, ensuring every child feels safe, comfortable and happy in my care. I believe children learn best when they are engaged in things they genuinely enjoy, so I follow their interests and use play as a way to build learning naturally into our time together.
For example, if a child loves animals, we might create an animal-themed story, draw and make animals, or use their interest to explore counting, sounds and new vocabulary. I enjoy getting involved in children’s play, extending their ideas and finding little teaching moments within everyday activities, while still making sure they are having fun. I also encourage children to try things independently, helping them build confidence, communication and self-regulation in a warm and nurturing environment.
My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children across a range of ages and settings. My experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, providing one-to-one SEN support, and working as nursery support staff. I then completed my PGCE and became a qualified Early Years Teacher, which is where my passion truly lies.
Working across different age groups and roles has given me a well-rounded understanding of children’s development, individual needs and how to support them effectively. I bring this experience into my babysitting, creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can feel comfortable, confident and supported.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I also hold a degree in Business Management and have an Enhanced DBS, providing families with reassurance that I am appropriately qualified and vetted to work with children.
I have an excellent professional record and have never been subject to any disciplinary action in the workplace. I have also never had any issues or offences outside of work. I take my responsibilities seriously and always maintain a professional, respectful and trustworthy approach when working with children and families.
My Availability
I’m available on weekday evenings, usually from 5pm–9pm, as well as all day on weekends. I’m also available throughout school holidays and can be flexible where possible.
