About Me

Hi, my name is Shanai! I’m a friendly, caring and reliable person who has a genuine passion for working with children. I enjoy creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment where children feel happy, comfortable and supported. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their little ones are in safe hands. I’m patient, approachable and always happy to adapt to each child’s individual needs.

My Experience

I have experience working as a Nursery Practitioner and a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. I currently work in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. I have worked with children of different ages and abilities, including children with additional needs and speech and language delays. I am also first aid trained and have completed safeguarding training. My experience has helped me develop a good understanding of children’s development, routines and individual needs.

My Qualifications

I am currently completing my Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship in a primary school and have previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner and SEN Teaching Assistant. I am first aid trained and have completed training in safeguarding, child protection, the Prevent duty, equality and diversity, and online safety. I also have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

My Availability

I currently work in a primary school, so I am mainly available during evenings, weekends and school holidays. I can also offer occasional babysitting depending on my availability. Please feel free to message me to discuss your childcare needs, and I will do my best to accommodate you.
