About Me
Hi! I’m Bea, I’m 28 and live in Clifton, Bristol. I’m a friendly, warm and easy-going person who loves being around people, animals and the outdoors. I’m into yoga, live music, fashion, reading, getting out in nature and anything creative.
I’ve always had quite a nurturing nature and have really enjoyed looking after children. I have experience with children of different ages through childcare, family and friends, as well as spending time as an au pair when travelling. I’m now in the process of moving into childcare after 6 years in marketing because I find it genuinely fulfilling and love the relationships you can build with children and their families. I am gaining experience as a TA in nursery and primary school settings, and am also looking for nannying work to support families and become a reliable extra pair of hands for them.
I have a lot of flexibility in my week, and am available for babysitting, school and nursery runs, after-school care, holiday childcare and general family support. I also look after dogs and other pets, which I really enjoy and is another big part of my life.
I’m DBS checked and have completed safeguarding and allergy-awareness training. Ultimately, I’d love to find a family I can build a genuine, long-term relationship with.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children of different ages through ongoing babysitting for family and friends. When travelling, I also did a month-long au pair placement in Switzerland, where I cared for four children aged 4–12 and helped with their day-to-day routines, cooking and meal-prep, activities and general family life.
I’ve worked in marketing for six years and currently transitioning into childcare, with some ongoing freelance work. I’m registered with an education recruitment agency and am gaining experience in nursery and primary school settings.
I’m naturally warm, creative and responsible, and love being in nature, reading, arts and crafts, animals and coming up with fun activities. I’m ultimately looking to build a genuine long-term relationship with families and become someone they feel comfortable relying on.
