Looking for a lovely person to join our family’s childcare mix
We’re looking for a warm, caring and reliable person to help us with our two boys, aged 7 and 8.
They’re both active, passionate, curious and creative little souls with big personalities and lots of energy! They love being outdoors, exploring, making things, playing and generally getting stuck into whatever catches their interest.
Our boys are home educated, so we’re particularly keen to find someone who enjoys getting out and about with children. Being able to take them on day trips, adventures, visits to interesting places, outdoor activities or simply exploring somewhere new would be a real bonus. They love learning through experiences and having someone who can encourage their curiosity and interests would be fantastic.
Our eldest has ADHD, so someone who has experience of, or an interest in understanding, neurodiversity would be wonderful. He’s a bright, funny and an incredibly passionate boy, and we’ve found that a little patience, understanding and flexibility goes a long way. Our youngest is equally energetic, curious, funny and playful so life with the two of them is rarely dull!
My Requirements
We’re mainly looking for daytime childcare on Fridays twice a month, with some occasional evening and weekend babysitting when we need an extra pair of hands.
We’d love to find someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and who can have fun with them — whether that’s getting outside, doing something creative, learning together, playing games, exploring, visiting somewhere or simply hanging out. At the same time, being calm, kind, patient and comfortable with the occasional chaos is definitely important!
Ideally, we’re hoping to find someone who could become a familiar and trusted person for the boys over time, rather than just someone who comes in occasionally. Someone who is reliable, warm, fun, adventurous and happy to get to know their individual personalities would be a great fit for us.
