My Summary
Nanny
About Me
I am a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with children. I am patient, approachable and responsible, and enjoy creating a safe, fun and supportive environment where children feel comfortable and confident. I understand that every child is different and I am able to adapt to their individual needs, routines and personalities.
I have strong communication skills and have achieved Level 6 British Sign Language. Coming from a deaf family, I have a natural understanding of deaf awareness, accessibility and inclusive communication. I am organised, trustworthy and able to use my initiative, and I am passionate about developing my childcare experience and building positive relationships with children and their families.
My Experience
I have two years of babysitting experience, caring for children and supporting their individual needs. Over the past year, I have also gained hands-on experience working alongside a professional nanny, helping with the day-to-day care and activities of the children.
As part of my work experience, I worked in a nursery where I supported and spent time with a deaf child. This gave me valuable experience in adapting communication and ensuring children feel included and understood. Coming from a deaf family and being able to use BSL has also given me a strong understanding of deaf awareness, communication and accessibility.
