My Summary

My Experience

I have experience caring for my niece and nephew, including supervising them, keeping them entertained, helping with routines and making sure they are safe and comfortable. I’ve cared for them at different stages of their lives from newborn babies to their current primary school age, giving me experience with children at different stages of development. One of my family members has additional needs, so I have also had experience in adapting how I communicate, play and support them according to their individual needs.

I have also previously worked for the Shropshire Schools Library Service, where I worked with schools and helped coordinate educational resources. I managed bookings, communicated with schools and organised resources to make sure they were available when needed. This gave me experience working around children and education, as well as developing my organisation and communication skills.

My current role is in customer service within financial services, where I have worked for over three years. Although this isn’t a childcare role, it has given me strong skills in responsibility, communication, patience, organisation and handling sensitive situations professionally.

My Qualifications

I have completed basic First Aid training through my employment.

I have previously undergone DBS checks through my employment and am happy to complete a new DBS check if required.

I am also interested in completing a Paediatric First Aid course to further develop my childcare knowledge and skills.

My Availability

I am looking for a regular nannying position of around 25–35 hours per week, ideally with one family or a small number of regular families.

I am particularly interested in weekday daytime work and would be happy to discuss different schedules depending on a family’s needs. I am looking for a reliable, longer-term arrangement where I can become a familiar and trusted part of the child’s routine.

I am currently employed, so a full-time or substantial regular position would require four weeks’ notice before I could leave my current employment. I am happy to discuss availability and a potential start date with families in advance.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)

My hourly rate is for the care of one child. I am currently offering one-to-one childcare only, as I want to provide each child with my full attention and make sure they receive safe, engaging and personalised care.

For activities or outings, I am happy to discuss arrangements with parents in advance. Any additional costs such as entry fees or activities would be agreed with the parent beforehand.
