Hi, I'm Dharshini, a Psychology graduate currently studying for an MSc at the University of East London. I'm calm, patient and reliable, and I enjoy helping children feel confident and supported, whether that's with learning or just having a safe, happy time at home. I have experience supporting a child with autism one-to-one, and I understand how much routine, kindness and clear communication matter to children and their parents.
My Experience
I currently work as a private tutor for a child with autism in Barking & Dagenham, giving one-to-one academic and behavioural support. I adapt learning materials to suit their sensory and communication needs, help with routines and emotional regulation, and work closely with the parent to track progress. I also work as a care support worker, which has strengthened my patience, calm communication and awareness of safety. During my BSc I completed an internship at a counselling centre in Kerala, supporting people with emotional and behavioural needs. I've also worked with children in educational and care-based settings, supporting learning, play and wellbeing.
My Qualifications
MSc Occupational and Organisational Psychology, University of East London (2026–present). BSc Psychology, Christ Nagar College, Kerala University (2022–2025). Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society. Existing DBS check (care sector). Short course in Psychotherapeutic Methods. I speak English, Tamil and Malayalam
My Availability
Available Monday to Wednesday, plus Thursday afternoons and Friday daytime. Not available Thursday mornings, Friday evenings or Sundays. My university timetable is still being confirmed, so please message me with the day and time you need and I'll confirm. Flexible during university holidays.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £13.00 per hour
Rates depend on the number of children and the type of session. Happy to discuss before we start.
