About Me
Hi! I’m Leticia, I’m 25 and local to Cambridge. I’d describe myself as a very active, creative and curious person who loves finding little ways to make everyday life more fun.
I'm really passionate about yoga and staying active, I spend a lot of my free time outdoors and in nature. Creativity is also a huge part of my personality, I’m always finding some sort of creative project to get stuck into. I’m equally happy slowing things down with a good book, at the moment I’m making my way through Penguin Classics!
I’m also a massive animal enthusiast and have so much love for pets of all kinds, so I’m always very happy to babysit in a home with furry family members too.
I’d describe myself as warm, playful and very easy going. I have lots of energy for adventures and activities, but I also really appreciate the quieter moments like reading together, drawing, getting creative or simply having a chat. I think that balance is a big part of who I am, and something that naturally carries over into the way I connect with children too
My Experience
I currently babysit regularly for a lovely family and have also provided occasional babysitting for another family over the summer. I’ve been really lucky to build such a great relationship with both the children and their parents, and I’d be more than happy to connect interested families with them for a personal/character reference.
I have experience caring for children of different ages, from babies as young as 4 months to toddlers, school aged children and teenagers. I love being an active babysitter playing, reading, getting creative, going outside, helping with learning or simply finding ways to make our time together fun. I’m also comfortable with feeding, changing, bedtime routines and keeping little ones happy and settled.
Babysitting started as a side job for me, but my experience has made me realise just how much I love working with children and that childcare is something I genuinely want to pursue and grow within.
My Qualifications
I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently, have my own car and can be flexible around different family routines. I also have an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service and will soon be completing First Aid training.
I have a degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice and although it’s a different field, it comes from the same place for me, I’ve always cared deeply about people, their wellbeing and making others feel safe and supported.
I am looking to become an official Ofsted childminder soon.
My Availability
I’m currently available during mornings and afternoons on weekdays, with plenty of flexibility depending on your family’s needs. I’m also happy to help with occasional evening or weekend babysitting when needed, please feel free to ask! ?
