I’m a proud mother of two grown up children, a son and a daughter. I have a genuine passion for caring for children and supporting their personal growth and development as individuals.
I have many years of experience working with children of different ages and need, both in nursery settings and in individual care. I have completed a St John Ambulance course which has helped me develop my knowledge and practical First Aid skills.
I also love cooking meals from scratch, including delicious vegetarian food as well as meat dishes. I have a wide variety of recipes under my belt from light snacks to full meals.
I adore working with children and appreciate the importance of creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment for them. I would love the opportunity to bring my decades of experience, warmth, and enthusiasm into your household.
My Experience
Nursery Leader at St George’s International School, Bangkok, Thailand: This involved working with very young children from babies (ten months old was the youngest) to five year olds. The average class size was around thirty children, which I ran with my teaching assistants.
Carer at Crossroads Care UK: I provided one-on-one care and support for a range of clients from a four year old child with Down syndrome to a centenarian with mobility difficulties. This experience strengthened my understanding of the importance of patience and individualised care.
Tutor at Kumon, Teddington: I supported the children’s learning and assisted them with completing their Maths and English workbooks.
Nursery Worker at Greenacres Nursery, Hampton: Greenacres Nursery is my most recent place of employment, and is also the place I have worked the longest (eight years). My role here included preparing, cooking, and serving up nutritious lunches for twenty children and up (the numbers varied greatly), playing with the children, and tidying up at the end of the day.
