I’m a caring, friendly and patient person who genuinely loves working with children. I love creating a warm and happy environment where children feel comfortable, supported and confident to be themselves. I’m very imaginative and playful, and I love coming up with fun activities, games and little ways to keep children happy, engaged and excited to learn. My Experience
I have worked as an early years practitioner for 26 hours/week for a year. I worked with children from babies up to 4 years old in a nursery (although my base room was toddlers). I was responsible for supporting the children’s daily care and development. My role included helping with routines such as meal time, nappy changes, and nap times, as well as planning and engaging children in age-appropriate activities to support their learning. I observed children to monitor their progress and ensure their individual needs were being met. I also focused on creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, while supporting children’s social and emotional development. In addition, I followed safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times and made great bonds with children as well as their parents to support the child’s wellbeing.
I also regularly babysit children of family or acquaintances to look after and play with them while their parents were away.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Early Years and Childhood studies that I graduated in with a first class honours!
