Hi, I’m Caitlin. I’m a recent Cambridge History graduate living in West London. I have several years of tutoring experience, helping children with English, History and homework, and I have also taught at a school in Hong Kong. I am DBS checked.
I particularly enjoy reading with children, whether we are sharing a story, talking about the characters or building their confidence reading aloud. I love music and have played in orchestras and sung in choirs for years. I am also happy to get involved in games, crafts and trips to the park.
I am looking for tutoring or babysitting work and would love to hear a little about your family and what you are looking for.
My Experience
I have tutored children in English, History and other humanities subjects since 2023, helping with homework, reading, writing and exam preparation. I enjoy making sessions feel relaxed and encouraging, especially when a child is finding a subject difficult.
In July 2024, I spent four weeks teaching at Harrow International School in Hong Kong, working with groups of around 15 pupils. That experience helped me learn how to keep children engaged while adapting activities to different needs and confidence levels.
I am DBS checked and happy to help with homework or reading as part of a babysitting session.
My Qualifications
I have a BA in History from the University of Cambridge and A-levels in History, English Literature, Politics and Sociology. I am DBS checked and have experience tutoring children in English, History and other subjects. I also spent four weeks teaching at Harrow International School in Hong Kong.
My Availability
I work part time, so my availability can vary from week to week. I am generally available before school, on weekday evenings and during the day at weekends. I may also be able to help on weekdays when I am not working. Please get in touch with the days and times you need.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
My rate is £20 per hour for babysitting and £30 per hour for tutoring.
