My Experience

I have just over seven years of professional childcare experience, working with children from around 3 months to 5 years old. The majority of my experience has been with babies and toddlers, which are the age groups I particularly enjoy working with.

Throughout my nursery career I have gained experience with bottle feeding and preparation, sterilising, weaning and first foods, nappies and personal care, individual sleep and nap routines, mealtimes, sensory and messy play, planning age-appropriate activities, tracking children’s development, key-person responsibilities, communicating with parents, settling new children and supporting children through room transitions.

Alongside my nursery experience, I have almost a year of private, sole-charge babysitting experience across three families. This includes caring for a 4-month-old baby and their 2-year-old sibling together in their own home, as well as independently caring for toddlers. My babysitting responsibilities include play, feeds and mealtimes, bottles, nappies, bath time, settling and bedtime routines.

I hold a Level 2 childcare qualification, current Paediatric First Aid and an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. I’m also Makaton trained and have completed training including safeguarding, Prevent, food hygiene, manual handling and fire safety. I have a full UK driving licence and my own car.

My Qualifications

My Availability

I’m currently looking for a full-time, live-out nanny position, ideally Monday to Friday and around 35–45 hours per week. I’m particularly interested in caring for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children, ideally within a family with one or two children. I’m based in Derby and happy to consider suitable positions around Derby, towards Uttoxeter and surrounding areas. Alongside my main nanny role, I’m also happy to offer occasional evening and weekend babysitting.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)

My rates are negotiable depending on the hours required, number and ages of children, location and responsibilities involved. For a permanent nanny position, I would be happy to discuss an appropriate gross hourly rate with the family based on the requirements of the role.
