Hi, I’m Molly! I’m a friendly, caring and approachable person with a genuine passion for working with children and young people. I have a wide range of experience across childcare, education and residential care, including working with children with additional needs, learning disabilities and different emotional and behavioural needs. I currently work in an Alternative Provision setting within a secondary school, where I support young people both academically and personally, with a strong focus on their wellbeing, safeguarding and helping them build confidence.
Over the years, I’ve learned that every child is different, and I really enjoy getting to know their individual personality, interests and needs. I’m patient, calm and understanding, but I also believe in having clear and consistent boundaries. I love creating fun, positive experiences for children, whether that’s getting outdoors, being creative, cooking, playing games or simply spending time together.
Outside of work, I’m an active and outdoorsy person who enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, cooking and spending time with my loved ones. I’d describe myself as reliable, nurturing and fun, and I’d love the opportunity to become a trusted and positive part of your family’s life.
My Experience
I have a broad range of professional experience working with children and young people across education, childcare and residential care settings. I currently work within an Alternative Provision setting in a secondary school, where I support young people with a range of additional needs, including SEND and social, emotional and behavioural needs. My role involves teaching, safeguarding, supporting wellbeing, managing challenging situations and building positive, trusting relationships with young people. I have also previously worked in a residential care setting for children aged 8–16 with learning disabilities, as well as supporting children with autism, complex needs and communication difficulties. These experiences have given me strong skills in creating safe, structured and nurturing environments, adapting my approach to each child and supporting their individual development and independence. I am also experienced in planning activities, supporting personal care and routines, administering medication where required, and working closely with families and other professionals to ensure children receive consistent and appropriate support.

I am available for full-time nannying Monday to Friday, with flexibility around early morning starts and later evening finishes. I can also offer occasional weekend childcare by arrangement, depending on the family’s needs.
