Two lovely girls, one busy dad, and room for another pair of helping hands!
About Me
I’m a father of three children, with two lovely daughters aged 10 and 8 living with me for most of the school week. I’m a consultant psychiatrist, working in the NHS and private practice, much of it from home. We’re a friendly and lively household, and I’m hoping to find someone who’ll become a familiar and trusted part of the girls’ routine.
My Requirements
I’m looking for a warm, reliable and engaging nanny or babysitter to help with my two daughters, aged 10 and 8, after school on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The girls attend Phil & Jim (St Philip and St James Primary School), which finishes at 3.20 pm and is around a 10–15-minute walk from home.
Ideally, I’d like someone to collect them from school and stay until around 5 or 6 pm. I’m very flexible about the finishing time and would much rather find the right person than insist on particular hours. I’m hoping for someone to start as soon as reasonably possible, although this is negotiable.
The girls are bright, affectionate, funny and full of personality. They enjoy creative activities, games and having fun, and I’d love to find someone who genuinely enjoys their company. Some help with homework, snacks and the occasional simple supper would also be appreciated.
I’d also welcome occasional evening babysitting, perhaps twice a month, so I can meet friends or enjoy an evening out. This would be entirely ad hoc, arranged in advance and subject to your availability.
The girls generally feel more comfortable with women, so a female nanny or babysitter would be our preference.
Above all, I’m looking for someone kind, patient, dependable and with a good sense of humour. I’d love to find someone the girls really look forward to seeing, and for this to be a happy and rewarding arrangement for everyone.
