My Requirements

A private family residing in St John’s Wood is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Live-in Housekeeper / Household Assistant.
We are looking for a proactive professional who can fully manage the daily running of the home, ensure every domestic detail is taken care of, and maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and order without requiring constant supervision. This is a fixed-term position for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute deep and daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management/clothing care.
• Oversee daily domestic routines, organize storage spaces, monitor inventory, and handle small household shopping/errands.
• Assist with practical, day-to-day routines and household logistics for school- and university-aged children.
• Prepare and serve daily breakfast, set the dining table, and manage post-meal clean-up. Occasionally prepare simple, light, and healthy meals (predominantly gluten-free). Note: The family also employs a professional chef.
• Accompany the family on occasional short trips throughout Europe.
Candidate Requirements
• Proven track record as a Housekeeper within a private household.
• Excellent, verifiable references from previous long-term employers.
• High level of discretion, strong organizational skills, fine attention to detail, and a calm, confident manner when interacting with teenagers and young adults.
• Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK and a valid passport/visa permitting travel across Europe.
• A strong desire to secure a permanent, long-term role.
