Part Time Nanny Job in Oxford
About Me
I am a Personal Assistant looking for a Cleaner &/or Nanny-Housekeeper for my employers.
My Requirements
CLEANER ROLE:
We are looking for a reliable and thorough Cleaner/Housekeeper to ideally come twice a week for 3 hours each day. We can be flexible as to what days/times work best. However as a suggestion it could be Mondays and Thursdays 10am-1pm (but happy to amend this to suit your current schedule).
Duties would involve:
- Cleaning of the house generally
- Cleaning the bathrooms
- Cleaning the kitchen
- Emptying bins
- Hoovering
- Dusting
- Wiping down surfaces (including under things such as picture frames)
- Laundry
- Ironing
- General Housekeeping putting things away and keeping the spaces tidy.
Ideally looking for someone to start immediately, pending references and a trial shift (paid).
(note the availability hours in the graph on this profile are for the Nanny role not the Cleaner role)
NANNY/HOUSEKEEPER ROLE:
We are looking for a warm, caring and fun Nanny, who is happy to provide light housekeeping.
The family is a family of four, with two children aged 3 and 6 years old. Based in central Oxford, the parents are looking for part-time help with school/nursery runs and some light housekeeping work, in order to lighten their load and carve out more work time. The Dad usually works from home, but will keep to himself. The Mum tends to work at a local co-working space.
We can be flexible to what routine can be agreed. Options can be discussed! See below for an example outline - but we're not rigid about it having to be those specific days. We would however like the routine to be the same days week-week once agreed.
The mother also occasionally travels for work, and during these occasions we would like someone with the flexibility to step up the days/hours. The arrangement for this can also be discussed - such as paying a weekly retainer that is more than their usual weekly hours, in order to then 'accrue' hours to use during the Mother's travel time. See details in the example outline below of how this increased routine would look.
The 6 year old (girl) is at school 5 days a week, and the 3 year old (boy) is at Nursery 5 days a week. The family are looking for school/nursery drop off/pick ups, some brief time doing housework in the morning or afternoon (whenever suits the employee best) and then after school care playing or reading or crafts etc. and sometimes feeding them supper.
In the school holidays the hours would be fairly similar, as they 3 year old stays at nursery, and the 6 year old often attends holiday camps. Any change in hours would be pre-agreed.
An EXAMPLE of how the routine can look:
- Laying out an example of a POSSIBLE arrangement of hours here (but can be altered which days/ mornings/ afternoons in discussing the job, and we can confirm a mutually-agreed set routine before signing contract).
Example: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 1 morning and 2 afternoons.
1 morning school run - 7.30-9.30am. Arrive and help the children get ready for school. Drop C to St Thomas day Nursery at 8.15am and then drop E at St Phil&Jim Primary in Summertown at 8.40/45am.
Tuesday and Wednesday, 1.30-5.30pm. Between 1.30-3pm you'd help with the home: tidying up and putting things away, doing a load of laundry, prepping a meal for the children, then E is picked up from Phil & Jim Primary in Summertown at 3.20pm, and then C from St Thomas Day Nursery immediately afterwards. You'd supervise the children having play-time, stories or homework if needed, then dinner around 4.30pm ish, and getting ready into bath around 5.15pm. The mum would get home at 5.30pm to then do their bedtime.
When the mum is away for work, we would ideally want to have the option for you do the school runs both ways, Tuesday to Friday, and doing the kids bedtime, so hours would be more like 2.30-6.30pm.
To summarise the hours:
Normal routine: - approx 46 weeks a year, 1 morning and 2 afternoons
A morning (for example either tues or weds) 7.30-9.30 am (2h)
Tues 1.30-5.30 pm (4h)
Wed 1.30-5.30 pm (4h)
Total hours weekly 10hrs
When Mum is away for work - approx 6 weeks a year, with at least a month's notice:
Variable depending on the work trip dates, but likely to be more like:
Tues-Fri 7.30-9.30 am (2h)
Tues-Fri 2.30-6.30 pm (4h)
Total weekly 24hrs
