We’re a small, close-knit family — myself, my husband and our little boy
I’m a first-time mum and work as an Occupational Therapist in the NHS. My husband and I are very hands-on parents and love spending time with my son whether that’s going out together, reading, playing, exploring or enjoying family time at home.
He will be turning one soon and is a happy, curious and affectionate little boy. He loves exploring his surroundings, being around people and keeping busy. He’s currently crawling, pulling himself up and cruising around furniture, so he’s becoming more adventurous every day!
We’re a warm and family-oriented family and really value kindness, patience and good communication. As this will be his first experience of regular childcare outside of our family, finding someone we genuinely trust and who will make him feel safe, happy and cared for is really important to us.
My Requirements
I’m looking for a warm, nurturing childminder or nursery for my son, who will be turning 1 soon. I’m looking for 2 days per week, ideally starting from October/November 2026 as I return to work.
I’m looking for a setting where he can feel settled and secure, with plenty of opportunities for play, learning, movement and outdoor time. He is an active, curious little boy who loves exploring and is currently crawling, pulling himself up and cruising around furniture.
I would ideally like a home-from-home environment with a small group of children, or a nursery with a warm and responsive approach. It’s important to us that his individual routine and needs are respected, particularly around sleep, feeding and settling.
He is breastfed and is eating solids alongside breastfeeding, so I would also like a setting that is comfortable supporting this transition and following his usual routine.
We are based in RM8 and would ideally like somewhere local and convenient for drop-off and collection.
We are also looking for a provider who accepts the 9-month working-parent funded hours, so please get in touch if you have availability for 2 days per week and can offer a funded place.
