About Me
Hi! I'm currently studying the Level 3 Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development qualification at Coleg Gwent, and I'm hoping to go into primary school teaching or nannying. I have a background in playwork, creative workshop leading and volunteering in schools and community settings.
I'm looking for babysitting and after-school care work to build my experience, ideally in or around Abergavenny as I don't drive. I'm happy to travel to places with good public transport links, such as Crickhowell, Raglan, Pontypool or Cwmbran. For evening bookings when buses have stopped running, I'd just ask for a lift home or for a taxi to be covered.
I'm warm, reliable, hard-working and genuinely passionate about working with children. I love getting involved with music, baking, crafts, storytelling and outdoor play, or just making sure homework gets done and everyone's fed and happy! I'm happy to look after children aged 3 and up, and I'm very comfortable supporting children with additional needs.

My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children through community youth work, playwork (at Abergavenny Community Centre), classroom volunteering in various local primary schools, and creative workshop facilitation with UCAN Productions (a creative arts charity supporting blind and vision impaired children and young people)
My Qualifications
I hold a current Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate (and Paediatric First Aid pending), and Level 2 qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Food Safety and Food Allergen Awareness. I am also a trained Playworker (having completed L1 award in Playwork and Outdoor Learning with Agored Cymru).
My Availability
Due to college and placements I’m mainly looking for after-school/evening work, however I’m available all day on the weekends and school holidays!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
£12 per hour (+£1.50 per hour for each additional child). For evening bookings, a lift home or taxi fare is appreciated.
