About Me
I’m Portuguese and based in Barking, and I’m looking for a nanny or babysitting role for two or three weekdays.
I’m patient, attentive and enjoy getting to know children as individuals—their interests, personalities and what helps them feel comfortable. I particularly enjoy creative activities, sensory play, cooking together and supporting learning in a playful way.
After working in a nursery, I would love the opportunity to give more focused attention to one child or a small family. I value building a trusting relationship with both children and parents, and giving children space to unwind while maintaining a reassuring routine.
My Experience
I have approximately three years of professional childcare experience at Montessori Minds. I mainly worked with toddlers aged eighteen months to three years, with additional experience caring for children from three months to four years old.
My responsibilities included supporting daily routines, dressing and hygiene, preparing simple meals and snacks, planning activities, and encouraging communication and early learning. I have also supported children showing early signs of autism and ADHD, adapting activities to their interests and working with parents to support their development.
Through caring for my cousins, I have experience with school collections, bathing, dressing and reading together. I would feel comfortable managing school pick-ups and following a family’s routines.
I renewed my paediatric first-aid training in March/April 2026 and have a DBS certificate issued on 11 July 2026. I can provide details of my training and references from my nursery work.
My Qualifications
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Development from Queen Mary University of London and a BA in International Relations from the University of Westminster.
I also hold a paediatric first-aid certificate, renewed in March/April 2026, and a DBS certificate issued on 11 July 2026.
Alongside my qualifications, I have over three years of practical experience working in a Montessori nursery setting. I am fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Guinean Creole.
My Availability
I am available every day for a maximum of 6 hours. These hours are preferably between morning and late afternoon/early evening. I currently prefer to work between 3-4 days a week.
My Fees
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
