About Me
Hello, I’m Carol, the owner of Care with Carol Childminding, a Care Inspectorate registered childminding service based in Dargaval, Bishopton, Renfrewshire, and I’m a member of SCMA.
My aim is to create a warm, welcoming and nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy, valued and confident to learn, explore and be themselves. I believe children learn best through play, relationships and real-life experiences, and I want every child who comes through my door to feel like a special part of the Care with Carol family. ?
I offer full-day childcare, as well as before and after-school care, with spaces available throughout the year. Places are limited, and I operate a waiting list so that I can support families as spaces become available.
I live at home with my husband, Sandy, and our two daughters, Elise, who is 18, and Aria, who is 13. Family is very important to me, and I wanted my childminding setting to have that same warm, family feel — a place where children can feel comfortable, secure and truly at home.
We also share our home with our beautiful 11-year-old Poochon, Lucky. ??? Lucky is our wee fluffy teddy bear! He is very friendly, gentle and loves being around both children and adults. Lucky is fully house-trained, flea and tick treated, and his vaccinations are kept up to date.
I am passionate about providing children with a caring, stimulating and inclusive environment where they can develop at their own pace, build confidence, form positive relationships and, most importantly, have lots of fun along the way! ??

I have 25 years of experience working in Early Learning and Childcare, having worked with Inverclyde Council in a Local Authority establishment.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children of all ages and abilities, including children with additional support needs (ASN). Thexperience has given me a strong understanding of the importance of individualised care, inclusion, positive relationships and supporting each child as an individual.
I hold an HNC and PDA in Early Learning and Childcare Practice, and I am currently studying for a BA in Early Childhood Practice.

I am open Monday to Friday, all year round, offering flexible childcare to meet the needs of families.
Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
My Thursday hours are slightly shorter as I attend University on a Thursday evening as part of my ongoing studies in Early Childhood Practice.
I am open throughout the year, with planned holidays and closures communicated to families in advance.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My Fees
At Care with Carol Childminding, I aim to keep my fees simple, clear and transparent for families.
My standard daily rate is £65 per day, for childcare between 8:00am and 6:00pm. On Thursdays, when my hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm due to my university studies, the daily rate is £55.25.
Fees are based on the agreed sessions and are payable in advance. Your child’s place is reserved for the agreed days, ensuring consistency and security for both your family and my childminding service.
I will discuss your individual childcare requirements with you and provide a clear breakdown of your fees before your child starts. Any additional arrangements, funded hours or changes to your contracted sessions will be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Dargavel Primary School
