About Me

Dear Parent,

I would be delighted to be considered to support your Year 1 child with their Maths and English.

I am a mature, responsible grandmother and a current university student studying for a History degree. I have always had a real interest in children’s learning and enjoy encouraging children to develop confidence as well as improving their skills. I am patient, approachable and understand that younger children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged and supported.

I can provide help with reading comprehension, phonics, early writing, spelling, homework and foundational Maths, following the KS1 curriculum and adapting the sessions to your child’s individual needs.

I am DBS checked and fully insured for tutoring. As I am local to Borehamwood, I would offer the sessions from my own home, where I can provide a quiet, comfortable and suitable learning environment. This also avoids adding travelling time and costs to the sessions.

I would be very happy to have an initial conversation with you about your child’s current level, what they particularly need help with and what you would like them to achieve.

I look forward to hearing from you
