My Experience

I have several years of experience working with children of a wide range of ages, from babies and toddlers through to teenagers. I currently work in a specialist secondary school, where I support children and young people up to the age of 14, including children with additional needs. This has given me lots of experience in understanding individual needs, managing different behaviours, supporting emotional regulation and building positive, trusting relationships with children.

Alongside my work in education, I have experience nannying and babysitting for several families. I have cared for children aged between 1 and 8 years old, with responsibilities including school and nursery pick-ups, preparing meals, organising after-school activities, taking the children to the park and other activities, helping with their evening routines and getting them ready for bed.

I also have personal experience caring for babies from around 10 months old, so I am comfortable with younger children and understand the additional care and attention they require.

Working with children every day has made me confident, patient and adaptable. I understand that every child is different, and I always try to create a safe, fun and supportive environment while also following the routines and boundaries that parents have in place.

My Qualifications

I am First Aid trained and have completed a range of professional training through my work within a specialist SEN school. This includes training and experience in safeguarding, supporting children with additional needs, behaviour management, emotional regulation and creating a safe and supportive environment for children.

I have progressed from Teaching Assistant to Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) and Form Tutor, which has given me additional responsibility for supporting children’s development, wellbeing and individual needs.

I also hold a full UK driving licence and have been driving for approximately four years.

My Availability

I am currently looking for a full-time nanny position and am open to both live-out and long-term opportunities. I am available Monday to Friday and can be flexible with start and finish times depending on the family’s needs.

I’m also happy to offer occasional evening babysitting and additional hours where needed. I am looking for a family where I can provide consistent, reliable childcare and hopefully build a long-term relationship with both the children and parents.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £22.00 per hour

My rate is typically £22–£25 per hour, depending on the hours, number and ages of the children, and the responsibilities involved.

For a regular or full-time nanny position, I’m happy to discuss and agree a suitable rate with the family based on the overall role and requirements.
