About Me
We are Hollie and Mia, two experienced childcare professionals and the founders of The Wonder Nook, a warm and nurturing childminding setting based in Welham Green. We aim to provide a curiosity led, home based environment where children feel safe, happy and confident to explore. We offer a range of play-based learning experiences, outings and activities tailored to each child’s interests and development.
My Experience
Between us, we have several years of experience working in early years and childcare settings. We have experience supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage, planning engaging activities, observing children’s development and working closely with families. We have also held senior responsibilities within nursery settings and have experience with safeguarding, SEND, behaviour support and creating safe, stimulating environments for children.
My Qualifications
We are both qualified and experienced Early Years practitioners with relevant childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid, safeguarding ands food hygiene training. We also complete ongoing CPD to keep our knowledge and practice up to date.
My Availability
We are available Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. We offer full day childcare. Please contact is to discuss current availability and the days/hours you require.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
Our private childcare fee is £8.50 per hour. Funded childcare places are available for eligible families. Please contact us with further information regarding fees, funding and availability.

Hollie and Mia looked after my little girl in their previous setting and I couldn't recommend them more highly. My little girl settled in very quickly with them and I always felt she was well-looked after, having a great relationship with Hollie, her keyworker. She absolutely thrived, leaving as a confident, clever and very sociable little girl!

Our daughter spent 2 happy years being cared for by Mia and Hollie at a previous setting.
She loved going in and every day there was something different to play with and explore.
The girls are caring and fun. They are always up to speed on the latest training and advice and take their jobs very seriously to provide the perfect setting for little growing explorers.
They will always come up with new ways to cater for every child to meet their needs.
I will always treasure the time my daughter spent with them. She was very happy and safe and as parents that’s all you wish for.
