My Requirements

We’re looking for a kind, reliable and experienced nanny to provide a mixture of regular and flexible childcare for our baby boy in our home.

From early November, one parent will be returning to work while the other takes over the majority of childcare. As they run their own business, their working pattern can be unpredictable, so initially we’re looking for someone we can trust to provide daytime cover when work commitments come in.

From January, our son will be at nursery part of the week, so we’ll move towards a more regular pattern of care. We’d also love to have the option of occasional evening and weekend babysitting.

We’re looking for someone warm, engaged and confident with babies/toddlers, who is happy entertaining him at home as well as getting out for walks, local activities and trips to the park. There will also be some light child-related housekeeping, such as preparing his meals, washing and putting away his clothes, and tidying/cleaning up after him. Having a car is useful, but not necessary as we don’t require anyone to drive him around.

Relevant baby/young child experience, an Enhanced DBS check, paediatric first aid and good references are required, as is being comfortable around dogs. Speaking Italian and/or being familiar with Montessori education is a bonus.

Ultimately, we’d love to find one person who can offer some flexibility initially and then become a more regular, familiar part of our week from January onwards.
