About Me
Hi, I'm Lyla. I grew up in Teddington and have spent the last few years working with young children, first as a Teaching Assistant at the International School of London and now at Fennies nursery in Teddington. I trained in dance and musical theatre at the BRIT School, so expect singing, dancing, crafts and lots of time outside. I'm calm, patient and reliable, and children warm to me quickly. Ideal ages based on my experience is 3 years old to primary age, including school runs, homework, tea, bath and bedtime. Open to full time, part time, after school or live in.
My Experience
Teaching Assistant at ISL London, March 2024 to August 2026. I worked in Early Years, Reception and Year 1, led phonics (Little Wandle) and maths groups, supported children with EAL and SEN, and often ran the class on my own when teachers were off. I also ran after school dance clubs.
Early Years Educator at Fennies, Teddington, since September 2026. Play based activities, care routines, observations and updates for parents.
Volunteer dance teacher at Flipside Dance School, 2018 to 2020, teaching baby ballet, tap and jazz to 3 to 7 year olds.
Two strong references from ISL available.
My Qualifications
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Current Paediatric First Aid certificate. Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 2. UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance (Distinction) from the BRIT School. 5 GCSEs including English. Experienced in Little Wandle phonics and White Rose maths.
My Availability
Looking for a full time, part time or live in nanny role and can start within a week or so. Available now for evening and weekend babysitting, and happy to help with emergency cover where I can.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
Nanny from £16 an hour gross, depending on hours and number of children. Babysitting from £15 an hour. Live in rates happy to discuss.
