My Experience

I worked as a nanny following a start in my working life in retail. In March 1989 I obtained a job as a nanny in London where I looked after three children aged 4,2 and a newborn baby. I supported the family for only 6 months due to the family relocating abroad. Following this I looked after a lovely lady with learning disbilities and cerebral palsy as a live in carer for 30 years. I started this job on 19th august 1989 until her passing on 5th May 2019. During my time with Marion I achieved my NVQ level three diploma in health and social care. Following Marions passing I worked in residential care homes as bank staff for Adicare supporting people with personal care, medication administration and companionship. I worked here from mid 2019 until mid 2021. I was then asked by one the residents homes to come and work for them full time and took up the opportunity to have a permanant placement. I have worked at Howson Care centre in Lincoln for the last five years with people with dementia and mental health, but have decided to have a change in career and go back to nannying.

My Qualifications

I have a care certificate including safeguarding training for adults and children. I have full training in moving and handling, medication administration, Basic Life Support, First Aid Training, catheter and stoma training and a NVQ level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care

My Availability

I am very flexible, but would prefer daytime hours including weekends if needed. I am happy to do the occasional evening to help out if required.

My Fees

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour

I charge from £16-£22 per hour with any mileage costs charged at 55p per mile.
