Hi! Im Abby, I’m a friendly, caring and bubbly person who genuinely loves spending time with children! I enjoy getting to know their little personalities and finding fun ways to keep them happy, entertained and comfortable.
I’m a big lover of nature, so I especially enjoy woodland walks, outdoor adventures, crafts, baking and getting creative with little ones. I also love reading stories, being silly and making children laugh!
I’m based in Pegswood, near Morpeth, and I’m hoping to find a lovely family who needs a regular helping hand with childcare. I’m more than happy to help with meals, playtime, daily routines and making sure your little ones feel safe, happy and cared for.
My Experience
I have experience working in a nursery, caring for children from around 8 months old through to preschool age. During my time there, I helped with everyday routines including feeding, nappy changes, naps, mealtimes and planning fun activities to support children’s learning and development.
I’ve also previously babysat for families with children aged 2-7, helping with meals, bedtime routines, outings and keeping the children entertained.
One of my favourite things about working with children is building a bond with them and watching their confidence and personalities grow. I love getting involved in their games, encouraging their imagination and making everyday activities fun!
My Qualifications
I have a DBS check and have completed first aid and Prevent training, alongside gaining valuable hands-on experience working in an early years nursery.
During my time at the nursery, I also undertook training towards my Level 3 Early Years qualification, gaining knowledge of child development, safeguarding and supporting children’s learning and everyday routines.
Although I don’t currently hold a completed childcare qualification, I have practical experience caring for babies, toddlers and preschool children, as well as previous private babysitting experience.
My Availability
I’m currently looking for regular part-time childcare work, ideally around 15 plus hours per week over weekdays.
However, I’m very flexible and more than happy to discuss different hours and arrangements to suit a family’s needs. Nothing is set in stone, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re looking for something slightly different!
I’m based in Pegswood and ideally looking for opportunities in Morpeth or the surrounding area.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
My rates are flexible depending on the number of children, hours required and the type of childcare needed.
I’m particularly interested in finding a regular arrangement with a family, so I’m more than happy to discuss rates and find something that works for everyone!
