About Me

Dear Family,
I know looking for a nanny is a huge decision. It is also a huge decision for the nanny. I’d love to share a bit
about myself as you make your choice for the person who will care for your family. If we decide to move
forward together with this experience I am confident that we will spend many happy, challenging, and
fulfilling years together.
My passion is children. Observing, communicating, connecting, and spending time around little ones is
where I feel my most authentic self. I find ways to include laughter in daily life. The things we have to do can
be completed quickly with fun and then leave more time to do the things we want to do.
My experience and my energy is what sets me apart. As a seasoned nanny I’m not easily ruffled. As an
active person I’m happy to move and go and fill the day with fun while still keeping things organized and
clean. I am child led. I am a facilitator. I am an observer. I believe my intuition and experience allows me to
sense what a child needs or wants and know whether to jump in and help or allow them to keep trying until
they figure it out by themselves. I’ve been pleasantly surprised many times when a child figures out
something on their own and I would have used a different approach. This way we both learned something..
Seeing the child’s confidence and independence is the goal.
I am connection based. I am honest, direct, and caring. I prefer collaboration, but I am highly independent
and can confidently make decisions concerning everyone involved. I can laugh at myself and quickly learn
from mistakes. I am happy and find good in almost everyone and everything.
I believe eating well starts young. I like cooking and trying new foods. I am skilled at creating good eaters
and will continuously reintroduce foods as children’s palates develop.
I am very active. I love all sports and actively play and coach pickleball. I like running, yoga, jump rope, and
flow rope: anything that allows for movement, strength, and flexibility. All development is brain development.
I will use my active energy towards brain development and milestones for your baby.
I think infant care is the best. I believe all care can be provided with very little crying. I use schedule,
connection, intuition, patience, my experience and I prioritize family preferences in my care and when
developing routines, sleep schedules, feedings, and self soothing. I don’t believe there is 1 correct way to
do anything. I don’t believe the same thing works for everyone, every baby or every parent. When caring for
siblings and twins the routine may be different for each child. I will always strive to care for a child in a way
that can be adapted so the responsibilities can be easily shared by multiple caregivers especially
considering the mother and father’s involvement. This time is precious and goes too fast. I will treasure each
transition and all the milestones reached along the way.
I believe I have a lot to offer to children and families. It’s not always easy, but it is extremely rewarding and
can almost always be fun.
