About Me
Hi! I’m Emily, a single mum to my two little besties, Roman and Piper ?
Roman is 9 (very nearly 10!) and Piper is 3. They’re obviously at very different ages but absolutely adore each other, and we’re a really close, loving little family.
Roman is funny, caring, independent and full of personality. Piper is our little whirlwind ? She’s confident, affectionate, funny and definitely knows her own mind!
I’m a businesswoman and have run my own company for a number of years, so life can be pretty busy. I’m a very hands-on mum, but my work involves occasional travel and commitments away from home, so I’m looking for a lovely part-time nanny who can become a familiar and trusted person in our family.
We’ve previously had a full-time live-in nanny, as well as ad-hoc nannies over the years, so both children are very used to being cared for by someone other than me and are comfortable with me being away.
Both children are in full-time education, so a lot of the help will be around school hours. You must be able to drive, as the role will include school/nursery drop-offs and pick-ups when I’m away.
There will also be occasional overnight stays at our home for work and travel commitments. We have a spare room/playroom with a double bed, so you’ll have your own comfortable space to sleep and relax once the children are in bed.
Day-to-day it’s just normal family life – school runs, dinner, playing, bath and bedtime, getting them ready in the morning and keeping their usual routine.
I’d ideally love to find our person rather than just an occasional babysitter – someone kind, fun, patient and reliable who the children genuinely look forward to seeing and who I can completely trust when I’m away.
The role would be part-time and flexible, with dates planned in advance wherever possible. If we sound like your kind of little family, I’d love to hear a bit about you ?
My Requirements
I’m looking for part-time, flexible childcare, mainly to cover work and travel commitments. This will include occasional evenings and overnight stays in our home, sometimes for more than one night when I’m travelling.
As both children are in full-time education, overnight care may include school/nursery pick-ups and drop-offs, so a full driving licence and own transport are essential.
Duties would include preparing simple meals, evening and bedtime routines, getting the children ready in the morning and taking them to/collecting them from school or nursery where required.
For overnight stays, you’ll have your own private room with a double bed for your comfort.
This isn’t a set-hours/full-time position. I’m looking for someone flexible and reliable who is happy with ad-hoc dates, which I’ll give as much notice for as possible. Ideally I’d like someone available for regular babysitting too, so the children can build a good relationship with you before overnight stays.
DBS checked, references and previous childcare experience are essential. I’m looking for someone long-term who I can completely rely on. ?
