About Me
I’m a friendly, caring and responsible university student with lots of experience working with children of different ages and needs. I have volunteered in Kenya with charities supporting homeless, disabled and autistic children, and worked in a reception class where I provided one-to-one support for autistic children. I have also taught baby ballet classes to four- and five-year-olds and volunteered as an English tutor for Ukrainian refugees.
I love spending time with children and particularly enjoy reading, arts and crafts, imaginative play and getting outdoors. I’m patient, enthusiastic and confident adapting to different personalities and needs, while understanding the importance of routine, boundaries and creating a safe environment. I’m currently studying English Literature at the University of Bristol and would love to find a family I can build a trusting and positive relationship with.
My Experience
I have a wide range of experience working with children of different ages and needs. I previously taught baby ballet classes to children aged four and five, where I was responsible for leading activities and keeping the children engaged. I also spent a year working in a reception class, including providing one-to-one support for autistic children. Alongside this, I volunteered weekly as an English tutor for Ukrainian refugees and spent two weeks volunteering in Kenya with charities supporting homeless, disabled and autistic children. These experiences have made me confident working with children, adapting to individual needs and creating a fun, supportive and safe environment.
