Hello, I’m a creative and gentle 27 year old studying for a Philosophy degree with the Open University. I work part time for the CQC inspecting hospitals. I love the sea and to be in it, and am happiest outdoors. Not at all afraid of a bit of mud!
I’m a good cook and a great storyteller.
I’m fond of a bit of arts and crafts, I like to press flowers and make rock pictures on the beach.
My Experience
I grew up in a big and busy family, with small people everywhere all the time, and started babysitting at 14. I have had experience with SEN children and spent a year following the Son Rise programme (a play based therapy for Autism) with a child I looked after at the time.
My inspecting job often involves communicating with SEN children in difficult circumstances so I am well versed and hard to fluster. I volunteer with the Wave Project at weekends.
I am a kind natured person with a huge imagination. I love to play and am rather good at it, I’ve built up a few story worlds my siblings still recount fondly.
My Qualifications
I have two up to date DBS checks! And have had first aid training which is certainly out of date but will be renewing very soon. I have plenty of safeguarding training from work as well as DEI, from working with the CQC. I have food hygiene certificates and have worked in bakeries. Unofficial Son Rise programme training and over a year of experience as a practitioner.
