Janey
Babysitter in Sunderland
My Summary
About Me
I’m a friendly, caring and responsible babysitter who loves working with children and making sure they feel happy, comfortable and safe while they’re in my care.
I can provide babysitting for families who need an extra pair of hands, whether that’s for an evening out, appointments, work commitments or simply some well-deserved time to themselves.
I’m happy to keep children entertained with age appropriate activities, games, crafts and play, as well as helping with mealtimes, bedtime routines and keeping their usual routines as consistent as possible. I’m also happy to take children out for activities where parents are comfortable with this, such as trips to the park, library, local activities or sports sessions. I’ll always discuss plans with parents beforehand and make sure I have all the information I need to keep your child safe and comfortable.
I’m also happy to work with parents to understand each child’s individual needs, personality and routines. My aim is to make babysitting a positive and enjoyable experience for both children and parents, with clear communication and reassurance throughout.
My Experience
Although I’m new to babysitting professionally, I have experience working with children through sports coaching. This has helped me become confident communicating with children of different personalities and ages, keeping them engaged and making sure they feel included and comfortable.
Through coaching, I’ve developed lots of patience and learned how important it is to be responsible, encouraging and attentive when looking after children. I enjoy planning fun activities and adapting them depending on what children enjoy.
I’m keen to build my experience in childcare and would love the opportunity to support families while creating a fun, safe and positive environment for their children.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Sports Coaching and Development, which has given me valuable knowledge and experience in working with and supporting children and young people.
I also hold a First Aid Certificate giving me first aid knowledge and the confidence to respond appropriately in an emergency.
I have also volunteered as a sports coach at Sunderland FOL, where I’ve gained hands-on experience supporting children through sports sessions and helping them develop their skills in a fun, positive environment. Alongside this, I have worked for DiddiKicks, gaining further experience working with children and creating engaging activities for them. These experiences have helped me develop my communication, patience, confidence and ability to adapt to different children's needs and personalities.
I’m always keen to continue developing my skills and gaining further experience working with children.
