Live-in Housekeeper with Childcare Duties

Position: Full-time, Live-in
Start Date: ASAP

Russian-speaking candidates are highly preferred, although Russian is not essential.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and proactive live-in housekeeper for a household consisting of a mother and her 10-year-old daughter.

The role combines cooking, household management and childcare. We are looking for someone who can independently manage daily routines and maintain a warm, positive and well-organised home.

Main Responsibilities

Cooking & Household Management

• Preparing fresh, healthy home-cooked meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), following primarily gluten-free and dairy-free requirements.
• Grocery shopping, meal planning and kitchen management.
• Laundry, ironing, wardrobe organisation and daily tidying.
• Independently managing household routines and maintaining an organised home.

Please note: A separate cleaner attends twice a week and handles the main cleaning. No deep cleaning is required.

Childcare

• Managing morning routines, school drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Supervising after-school activities, homework and tutors.
• Preparing meals and supervising evening and bedtime routines.
• Taking responsibility for the child during late evenings and overnight periods when the mother is away, up to 3 nights per week, as agreed in advance.

Ideal Candidate

• Warm, cheerful, energetic and positive.
• Highly organised, proactive and independent.
• Excellent cooking skills and experience with school-aged children, ideally pre-teens.
• Confident setting appropriate boundaries while respecting the child’s independence.
• Reliable, responsible and trustworthy.
• Confident spoken English.

Working Arrangements

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, with agreed working hours and breaks.
• Private en-suite bedroom provided.
• Evening and overnight childcare up to 3 nights per week, arranged in advance.
• Working hours, rest periods and overnight compensation to be agreed in the contract.
