Babysitter in Watford
My Summary
About Me
I am a friendly, caring and responsible 20 year old pharmacy student who has completed two years of Pharmacology and aspires to become a qualified pharmacist. I have a genuine love for learning, exploring new places and travelling, and I enjoy embracing new experiences and adapting to different environments. Having lived in Jamaica for six years, I have developed an appreciation for different cultures and ways of life.
Alongside my studies, I work part time at an aesthetics clinic, where I pursue my alternate passion for beauty, skincare and social media marketing. I hope to continue developing this passion alongside my future career in pharmacy.
As an only child, I have always loved being around children and have often wished for siblings of my own. I am naturally sociable, patient and nurturing, and I enjoy creating a fun, positive environment where children feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I have experience looking after my three nephews and younger cousins, which has helped me build confidence in caring for children and understanding their individual needs.
I would love the opportunity to support a family by providing reliable, attentive and loving childcare. I enjoy helping children learn, explore and grow, and I would take pride in becoming someone a family can trust and rely on.
My Experience
I have experience babysitting children of different ages, including children around eight years old with additional needs. These experiences have helped me develop patience, adaptability and an understanding of the importance of creating a safe, supportive and comfortable environment for every child.
I have also taught science-based activities and conducted educational workshops for children in Years 3 to 5 in Pinner. This gave me the opportunity to engage children in learning through fun, interactive and age-appropriate activities, encouraging their curiosity and helping them understand new concepts.
In addition to this, I have babysat for family members, friends and families outside my personal circle. These experiences have helped me become more confident in building relationships with both children and parents, understanding individual needs and adapting to different family routines. I enjoy combining childcare with learning and creative activities to ensure children feel happy, supported and engaged.
My Qualifications
I have completed first aid training through my employment at David Lloyd Clubs, including training with the RLSS. I am trained and signed off in CPR, know how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and can provide basic first aid, including tending to minor wounds. This training has helped me understand the importance of staying calm, acting responsibly and prioritising safety in an emergency.
Academically, I achieved strong results in my CXC qualifications, with grades equivalent to UK GCSE grades 7-9 across all subjects. I also completed three A Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Sociology, which strengthened my scientific knowledge, communication skills and understanding of people and society.
I am currently pursuing my goal of becoming a pharmacist, building on my previous two years of Pharmacology study.
