Oliver
After-school nanny, Marcham – Mon–Thu 3–6pm, £16–£18/hr + holiday pay
About Me
We're a friendly family in Marcham village (3 miles from Abingdon, on the X1 bus route) looking for a warm, reliable after-school nanny. Our daughter is 6 and in Year 2 at the village primary school. She loves crafts, reading and being outdoors. Our son is 3 and at nursery in the village. School, nursery and our home are all within a short walk of each other.
We both work, and we want our daughter to come home after school to a calm afternoon and a proper meal rather than going to after-school club. We'll treat you well: a proper contract, payslips, guaranteed hours and holiday pay.
My Requirements
Mon–Thu, 3pm–6pm, term time. £16–£18/hr gross, employed, plus 12.07% holiday pay. If you already work self-employed for several families, please tell us your rate.
The role:
- Collect our daughter from school at 3pm and walk home
- Crafts, reading and play at home, with the occasional trip to the park
- Cook a simple, proper dinner for both children
- Collect our son from nursery at 5:30pm (a short walk)
- Light tidying up after the children
What we offer: term time only (about 39 weeks a year), with 12 guaranteed hours in each term-time week, paid even if we cancel. Holiday pay of 12.07% is added on top of your hourly rate. No commitment in school holidays, though we may offer extra paid days by agreement if you'd like them.
What you'll need: experience with young children, an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to get one), references, and ideally paediatric first aid.
Would suit a teaching assistant, nursery practitioner, experienced parent, student or retired teacher with afternoons free. Start from Monday 2nd November. If interested, please message us with a little about yourself.
