About Me
Hi, I’m Maya! I’ve been babysitting for 7 years, and taking care of children has always been something I really enjoy.
I spent 4 years looking after the same family with 4 children, aged from 18 months to 10 years old. I got to watch them grow up, and I think that’s one of the things I love most about babysitting, getting to know the children and becoming someone they feel comfortable and happy around.
I’m used to looking after both babies and older children, whether it’s changing nappies, helping with homework, preparing meals or simply spending time playing with them.
I’m naturally very patient and caring, but I also know how to be firm and set boundaries when needed. I think it’s important for children to have fun and feel comfortable, while also having someone they can listen to and rely on.
Above all, I always try to make sure the children I look after feel safe, listened to and cared for.
My Experience
Like I mentioned before, I took care of 4 children for 4 consecutive years, which was a really special experience as I got to know them well and watch them grow up.
I’ve also helped 3 other families who needed a babysitter at the last minute, sometimes with very little notice. Over the years, I’ve babysat for different families in France, England and Morocco.
I also spent 2 years helping care for a child with a disability, which was a very meaningful experience for me and taught me a lot about patience, understanding and adapting to each child’s needs.
All these experiences have allowed me to meet children of different ages and personalities. What I love most about babysitting is getting to know each child, building a bond with them and making sure they feel happy, safe and comfortable around me.
My Qualifications
I have completed First Aid training and hold a First Aid certificate. I also have a driving licence, although I don’t have my own car.
I’ve been babysitting for over 7 years, so I have plenty of experience with children of all ages, from babies to older kids.
I also have 2 years of experience caring for a child with a disability, which taught me a lot about patience and adapting to different needs.
I’m also comfortable helping with homework, preparing meals and following the children’s daily routines.
My Availability
I’m fully available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and on Tuesdays from 4 pm onwards.
I’m happy to pick the kids up from school, help with homework, cook meals or simply look after them at home while the parents are out. I can also help out whenever an extra pair of hands is needed around the house.
I’m pretty flexible with timings on those days and happy to adapt to what works best for your family!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
My usual rate is £20 per hour, which is what I’ve charged the families I’ve previously worked with, but I’m happy to discuss it depending on your needs.
If I need to take a taxi home late at night because there are no more buses running, I’d appreciate it if the taxi fare could be taken into account.
For overnight stays, the rate would be slightly higher, depending on the hours and what’s needed.
I’m always happy to discuss everything beforehand and find an arrangement that works for both of us!
