Job Title: Part-Time Family Assistant / Nanny-Housekeeper with Dog Walking (EH4 – Ravelston)
Hours: Part-time, 2 days per week (Wednesdays & Thursdays)
* Wednesdays: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (6 hours)
* Thursdays: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM (5.5 hours)
* Total: 11.5 hours per week.?Location: Ravelston, Edinburgh (EH4).?Start Date: ASAP
About Us:
We are a busy professional family with two independent children—a son aged 11 and a daughter aged 13. We also have a very friendly dog who needs a walk and company during the day. We are looking for an organised, reliable, and proactive Family Assistant / Nanny-Housekeeper to keep our home running smoothly on the days we are both working in the office.
Core Responsibilities:
* Pet Care: Taking our friendly dog for a dedicated midday walk and keeping her company.
* Housekeeping: Tidying up, organising, and managing the family ironing.
* Childcare & Homework Support: Being at the house to greet our 11-year-old son when he gets home from school at 3:30 PM. Preparing an after-school snack and offering light guidance/encouragement with his homework.
* School Run / Activity Transport (Wednesdays): Collecting our 13-year-old daughter from her senior school at 5:00 PM on Wednesdays and driving her to her after-school activity.
Requirements:
* Driving & Vehicle: Full, clean UK driving licence. Either using your own car or using our family vehicle for the school run (we will arrange appropriate insurance cover).
* Experience: Previous experience in childcare, nanny-housekeeping, or family assistant roles is highly preferred.
* Attributes: Proactive, trustworthy, highly organised, and great with dogs.
* Checks: A current PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) check or willingness to undergo one, plus checkable references.
