About Me
Hi, I’m Parris! I’m a proud mum to my four-year-old son who is currently in reception and my one-year-old daughter who will be in my setting during her early years, and I’m passionate about creating a happy, safe and nurturing environment where little ones can learn, play and thrive.
As a mum myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your child. I want every child in my care to feel loved, valued and comfortable, just as they would at home.
I believe children learn best through play, exploration and everyday experiences. Whether we’re getting creative with arts and crafts, reading stories, enjoying outdoor adventures, singing songs, playing imaginative games or exploring the world around us, I want to make every day fun, engaging and full of opportunities to learn.
I love encouraging children to develop their independence, confidence and social skills at their own pace, while supporting their individual personalities, interests and needs. I believe in positive encouragement, gentle guidance and celebrating all the little milestones along the way.
My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming, home-from-home setting where children feel secure enough to be themselves, build friendships and develop a genuine love of learning.
I know that leaving your little one in someone else’s care is a big step, and I want parents to feel just as comfortable and reassured as their children. Building trusting relationships with families and keeping parents involved in their child’s day are really important to me.
I can’t wait to welcome little ones into my setting and help them make happy memories, discover new things and grow in confidence every day! ?
My Experience
As a mum to my four-year-old son and one-year-old daughter, I have gained valuable hands-on experience caring for young children and supporting their development through every stage of early childhood.
Through motherhood, I have developed a good understanding of children’s routines, emotional needs, play, communication and the importance of creating a safe, loving and consistent environment. I understand that every child is different, with their own personality, interests and pace of development, and I believe in giving each child the patience, encouragement and individual attention they need.
I enjoy planning fun and engaging activities that help children learn through play, from creative activities and imaginative play to reading, sensory experiences and outdoor adventures. I love seeing children grow in confidence, develop new skills and reach their milestones.
I am also developing my knowledge and skills to pursue my career in childcare having completed an ICP course with the aim of providing a welcoming, stimulating and home-from-home environment for the children and families I work with.
My experience as a parent has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, kindness and positive encouragement, and I look forward to bringing these qualities into my childminding setting.
