My Experience
I have been working with children for Nearly 40 years. First as an au-pair, then as a nanny for several years, until I qualified as a Montessori teacher. I have chosen to go back to nannying because I value providing individualised care and building a close, trusting relationship with a child and their family. Nannying allows to tailor activities and support to a child’s unique needs, interests, personality, and stage of development, while being actively involved in their everyday life.
My Qualifications
I hold a Gold Seal Montessori diploma from the London Montessori Centre. I also have a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, and an Enhance DBS certificate, which can be checked online. I also have several qualifications linked to my time in Nursery settings : Designated Safeguarding Lead with Oxfordshire, Safe Sleeping course with the Lullaby Trust, Understanding allergies and anaphylaxis course on Flick, Food Hygiene (level 2).
