My Summary

My Experience

My last permanent role (in the 2026 summer term) was as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at an RC Primary School. This involved whole class teaching as well as small group and one to one teaching. It was particularly rewarding seeing my one to one pupils progress in their knowledge, especially one autistic pupil. Most recently I volunteered for 6 weeks at a school in Uganda, allowing me to develop the skill of teaching in another context and cross-culturally. I have also worked one to one with pupils through a library homework club in Manchester. Working as a cover teacher with an agency has allowed me to teach in a variety of secondary and SEND schools. I am currently beginning an HLTA role at a SEND school and looking for work in holidays and on weekends.

Before I began training as a Primary School Teacher, I worked in University Peer Support, facilitating peer Learning groups and training other pupils as Peer Educators.

I was homeschooled myself so have a high value for home learning!
