My Requirements

We’re a family living in Truro, close to the hospital, with two children aged 8 (a little girl) and 5 (a little boy). We’re starting to look for a nanny who could potentially join our family from January onwards.
We’re looking for someone who is fully DBS checked, has a full driving licence and is happy to help with the children’s after-school and evening routine. This would include collecting the children from school, bringing them home, helping with homework, preparing and cooking their tea, feeding them, and getting them ready for bed. Ideally, we would like someone to also provide a short walk for our dog, Bruno, and help to feed him and our two cats.
I’m a nurse, so my shifts can vary. I’m scheduled to finish at 7:30 pm on an early shift and 9:30 pm on a late shift, although I may occasionally finish a little earlier or later.
Ideally, we’re hoping to find someone who could provide care on the days I’m working, currently Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, my husband, Joe, has some changes coming up with his new job, which may involve working away from home at times. Until we know exactly what his working pattern will look like, we can’t say for certain how often we’ll need a nanny or which days will be required.
We appreciate that this is not the most straightforward arrangement to plan at the moment, but we wanted to be honest about our circumstances from the outset. We’re hoping to find someone kind, reliable and trustworthy who would become a valued part of our family and help make our busy working and family life run a little more smoothly.
