Hello parent/ guardian,
My name is Emma, I’m 22 years old and live in Edgware. I currently work as a PE teacher in a SEN secondary school, supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. I have a genuine passion for working with children and love making a positive difference in their lives. I have four years of experience working in education, including one year in a mainstream school and three years in a SEN school. I also have experience working with children of all ages and enjoy creating a safe, positive and supportive environment where every child feels comfortable, valued and cared for.
My Experience
I have four years of experience working with children in educational settings, including one year as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream secondary school and three years as a PE teacher in a SEN secondary school. I have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, ODD and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Alongside my professional experience, I regularly babysit at weekends and have extensive personal experience caring for my younger sibling, who has ADHD, autism and ODD, as well as my two young nieces. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, caring and understanding approach to supporting children of different ages and needs. I also have experience in sports coaching, particularly football, and enjoy helping children build their confidence, develop new skills and feel safe, happy and supported
My Qualifications
•Enhanced DBS checked.
•Full UK driving licence.
•1 year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream secondary school.
•3 years of experience working as a PE teacher in a SEN secondary school.
•Trained and experienced in supporting children with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
•Restraint-trained, with experience supporting children who may become dysregulated.
•Good basic knowledge of Maths and English.
•Sports-related qualifications and coaching experience, particularly in football.
•Cooking qualifications and basic food preparation skills.
•Experienced in working with children of different ages and adapting support to meet their individual needs.
•Strong communication, patience, behaviour-management and relationship-building skills.

Monday- Thursday anytime after 4pm

- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
