About Me

Hi, I’m Manqi (Mandy), a student at Durham University studying Education Studies and Psychology. I speak both English and Mandarin Chinese fluently.I love spending time with children and engaging them in creative activities such as drawing, reading and paper folding. I am passionate about children’s learning and development, and I enjoy encouraging their curiosity and creativity through play.

My Experience

I have experience tutoring children in maths and Chinese, as well as organising indoor and outdoor activities. My academic background includes A-level studies in Psychology, Sociology, Physics, Maths and Chinese. This summer, I completed a two-month internship in the psychiatry department of a children’s hospital. During my time on the ward, I gained experience spending time with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I also listened to and encouraged teenagers experiencing mental health difficulties, offering companionship and emotional support.

My Qualifications

Although I do not hold any formal childcare qualifications, I have plenty of experience spending time with children, supporting their learning and engaging them in activities.
