Erin
Babysitter in Bristol
My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m Erin, and I’m a caring, patient and reliable person with a background in SEN.
I spent three years working as a teaching assistant at a SEN school in Bristol, supporting children with a range of additional needs. During my time here, I completed my level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, gaining valuable knowledge and experience in supporting children’s learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and development.
I’m passionate about helping children feel safe, happy and confident, and I believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported and encouraged to be themselves. My experience has taught me the importance of adapting my approach to each child’s individual personality, needs and interests, while creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive environment.
Alongside my working experience, I have volunteered with Brownies and gained experience caring for younger children. I enjoy helping children learn, explore their interests and have fun, whether that’s through creative activities, games, reading, outdoor play or simply spending quality time together. In my own time, I love crocheting, reading and going to live music events. I enjoy trying new things and finding little ways to make everyday activities fun and meaningful. I’d love to share some of these interests with the children I care for, whether that’s getting stuck into a craft project, exploring the outdoors, or finding activities that suit their individual personalities and interests.
I’m now looking to build on my experience through babysitting and nannying opportunities. I’m happy to support families with childcare, playtime, activities and routines. For me, childcare is about building genuine connections with the families I work with. I’d love to get to know each family’s individual dynamics, learn from parents and understand what makes their family unique. I want to be someone who fits naturally into family life, providing consistent, thoughtful care while respecting the parents’ wishes and helping their children feel safe, happy, comfortable and understood.
I’m friendly, approachable, responsible and patient, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel comfortable and confident leaving their children in someone else’s care.
I’d love the opportunity to meet your family and discuss how I could help!
