My Experience

I am a qualified primary school teacher with a PGCE in Primary Education (ages 5–11) and professional experience working with children across different age groups, particularly in Years 1 and 3.

Before becoming a teacher, I also worked as a one-to-one Teaching Assistant, supporting children with their individual learning and developmental needs.

Throughout my career in education, I have developed a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, emotional wellbeing and the importance of creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment.

I have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism and ADHD. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, clear communication and adapting my approach to suit each child’s individual needs.

My teaching background also allows me to offer additional educational support, including reading, phonics, homework assistance, creative activities and learning through play.

I am fluent in English and Spanish and would be happy to introduce children to Spanish through conversation, stories and fun activities.

Alongside my professional experience, I am a mother of two teenage boys, giving me valuable firsthand experience of caring for children through different stages of their development.

My priority is always to ensure that children feel safe, comfortable, respected and supported while providing parents with peace of mind that their children are in capable and caring hands.

My Qualifications

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Primary Education, specialising in teaching children aged 5–11, and have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

I also hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Graphic Arts (Illustration) from the University of Southampton, Winchester School of Art, alongside a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.

My teacher training and professional experience have equipped me with a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, inclusive education and supporting children’s emotional, social and educational needs.

I have knowledge and experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly autism and ADHD, and understand the importance of adapting care and activities to meet individual needs.

My creative background also allows me to incorporate arts, crafts, storytelling and imaginative play into children’s everyday activities.

Additionally, I am fluent in both English and Spanish and can offer bilingual activities and language exposure where desired.

My Availability

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour

My standard babysitting and childcare rate is £16 per hour, reflecting my professional background, teaching qualifications and experience working with children.

For families requiring care for multiple children, extended hours or additional educational support, rates can be discussed depending on individual requirements.

I also offer overnight childcare on Friday and Saturday nights, with fees agreed in advance based on the duration of care and the family’s needs.

I aim to provide high-quality, reliable and nurturing childcare at fair and transparent rates.
