My name is Constantin, I'am 19 years old. I grew up in Lille (France) in a big family. I have two older brothers and, being the oldest of a whole bunch of younger cousins, I’ve been looking after kids for as long as I can remember. I’m French, went through the French school system, and moved to London this year to start a Bachelor in Politics and International Relations at UCL. Politics is what I’d like to build a career on, ideally in diplomacy. I’m happy to look after children or help with French and politics, in French or English. I currently live in Canary Wharf but I can commute if needed :)
My Experience
Babysitting: I’ve looked after my younger cousins more times than I can count, and since moving to London I’ve babysat for several families here.
Tutoring in Government & Politics: I’ve been passionate about politics for five years. I’ve worked in political offices: in the office of an Irish Minister of State, with the parliamentary team of French deputy Sébastien Huyghe, and as a volunteer at the UN’s AI for Good Summit in Geneva. I’ve also taken part in many Model UN simulations, which taught me how negotiations and debates actually work. On the academic side, HGGSP (history, geography, geopolitics and political science) was one of my specialty subjects for the bac, and I’m now studying politics and IR at UCL and regularly attend conferences on these topics. I can explain the theory and connect it to real examples.
Tutoring in French: I’m a native speaker and have had French lessons all my life, so I know how a good lesson is built and what works or doesn’t. During my gap year in Ireland, I taught French to classes of different levels as part of a programme. That taught me to adapt my approach to each student’s level.
My Qualifications
French Baccalauréat with Mention Très Bien (17.05/20), European section (history-geography taught in English). Currently studying BA Politics and International Relations at UCL. Specialised in HGGSP and Social & Economic Sciences at school. Best Delegate at a Model UN conference and president of my school’s MUN club.
My Availability
I'am very flexible since I only have classes on Monday (9am to 6pm) and Tuesday (1pm-2pm/ 4pm-5pm) and free the rest of the week despite some conferences and events. So contact me :)
My Fees
- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
My rate depends on the number of children, the time of day and the travel involved. I’m happy to discuss it with you before we book. For tutoring, I charge per hour, and I’m open to a lower rate if you book several sessions in a row.
