Hello, I’m Sowbagya, a warm, patient and responsible childcare provider offering after-school and part-time care for primary-age children. I have experience tutoring Grade 3 and Grade 5 pupils one-to-one, so I’m confident supporting homework, reading and maths while keeping children happy and engaged.
I believe children thrive when they feel safe, listened to and encouraged. My approach is calm and nurturing, with a good balance of structure and fun. This includes creative play, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and healthy snacks. As a trained architect and designer, I bring creativity and imagination to activities, from building and drawing projects to hands-on learning.
I understand that trusting someone with your child is a big decision, so I’m transparent, punctual and always happy to share updates at the end of each session. Child safety and wellbeing are my top priority.
I’m happy to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide references on request. I’m also open to completing a paediatric first aid course.

My Experience
I have experience working with primary-age children (Grades 3 and 5) as a private tutor, providing one-to-one support in maths, English and general homework. I plan simple, engaging activities, track each child’s progress and keep parents updated with clear, friendly feedback.
I’m also experienced in guiding and encouraging young people through creative, hands-on learning, including drawing, building and craft projects. I’m confident helping children with after-school routines such as snacks, homework, play and calm wind-down time.
I’m patient, dependable and attentive to each child’s needs, and I always put safety and wellbeing first. [Optional: I also have experience looking after children of family and friends, aged 1 to 12
My Qualifications
* Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), SRM Institute of Science and Technology, 2021
* Private tutoring experience, Grades 3 and 5 (maths, English and homework support)
* Junior Red Cross (JRC) member during school, with basic first aid awareness
* Enhanced DBS check: willing to complete
* Paediatric first aid: willing to complete
* Fluent in English and Tamil
My Availability
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
£12 per hour (negotiable for regular bookings), £1 to £2 per hour for each additional child, so £13 to £14 for two siblings.
