About Me
I am Clara, a French 20 years old student at the University of Warwick as an exchange student. As a Sciences Po Bordeaux student, I spend my third year abroad, and I chose to study in England. I am a very sociable, outgoing and adaptable person who enjoys meeting new people and discovering new environments. Through my different experiences, including childcare, working at a leisure centre, a holiday camp and a month as a waitress, I have learned to adapt quickly, communicate with different people and take on new challenges. I am also very sporty, energetic and organised. I speak French and Spanish fluently. It's been a month since I arrived, and I can now understand almost everything, despite the challenging but beautiful British accent! I speak English fluently ( with a little) French accent.
My Experience
I have always been very involved in looking after children, whether they were neighbours' children or my younger cousins. This is what inspired me to start babysitting in high school. For three years, I looked after four siblings aged 3 to 13 every Friday. I would pick up the younger children from their sports activities, help them with their homework, prepare dinner and get them ready for bed. Looking after children became a regular part of my routine, and I would love to find a similar arrangement here in England.
I have also worked at a summer leisure centre, looking after children aged 3 to 5, and as an activity leader at a holiday camp for children aged 8 to 12. These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different ages and create a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
My Qualifications
I was employed by Ema ma Nounou à moi, a childcare agency in France, where I gained professional babysitting experience. I can also provide a letter of recommendation from the agency.
I have completed all the stages of the French BAFA (Brevet d’Aptitude aux Fonctions d’Animateur), a qualification for leading activities and supervising children in holiday camps and leisure centres. I received a favourable assessment at every stage, and the final jury will meet in November 2026 to officially validate my qualification. I am therefore awaiting formal confirmation of my BAFA qualification.
My Availability
I am currently studying at the University of Warwick and have a fairly flexible university timetable. I have no classes on Wednesdays and Fridays, so I am particularly available on those days, as well as on most other weekdays. Thursdays are my busiest day, so my availability is more limited then. I will be returning to France for the Christmas holidays, so I will not be available during that period. I am happy to discuss regular babysitting arrangements and occasional childcare depending on my schedule.
